Crucify Him

Joe Lieberman is scheduled to headline Pastor John Hagee's 2008 Christians United For Israel Summit in July.

There are so many things wrong with this that it's difficult to decide where to begin.

Let's begin with "Christians United For Israel." The particular Christians that follow Hagee want a permanent Israel so that The End Times Prophecy will be fulfilled and the Rapture will occur. In that Rapture the Jews (among others) are destined for Hell. Yes, Lieberman is aligning himself with a mano of God and his followers who are absolutely certain that Lieberman will spend eternity in Hell, which is where I think Lieberman belongs. Lieberman's lame-ass comment that Hagee represents many people "...particularly Christians who care about the state of Israel." is idiotic, if not certainly masochistic.

Next let's take a look at the type of Pastor Hagee is. Hagee takes people who join his church into the woods to "vomit out all the demons that everyone has acquired." Hagee believes that every single person has demons in them that they got when they were children.

Included in the list of demons that Hagee has his parishoners puke out into paper bags are the "demon of handwriting analysis" and the "demon of anal fissures."
Really, no lie. This guy is fucked-up certifiable. Hagee has made bigoted, idiotic, hateful statements about gays, Muslims, and Catholics. If all's fair in politics, Lieberman (and by proxy, McCain) should be crucified for this.
